Route
Use the marked rank rather than accepting a ride from a driver on the departures level. Every cab should run a meter. Suburban taxis must be booked by calling a suburban company first, and they collect from the lower level middle commercial lane at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and the inner commercial lane at Terminal 5. Trips from the airport to most suburbs are charged at the meter plus one half; a list of straight meter suburbs including Des Plaines, Evanston, Oak Park, Park Ridge, Rosemont and Skokie is published by the city. For a wheelchair accessible cab, ask the starter at the rank, or call 1-888-928-2227 when travelling to the airport.
