Rental car counters, O'Hare

Every rental car counter is in the Multi-Modal Facility, and the free Airport Transit System reaches it from all four terminals. The longest ride, from Terminal 1, takes about 10 minutes. The airport’s pages don’t give counter hours or rates, so call the company for both.

Which companies have counters, and how to call them

These companies share Level 1 of the building at 10255 W. Zemke Blvd.

Sixt and Thrifty also have counters there, and the airport’s rental car page lists their phone numbers.

An information desk near Door 4 is staffed 24 hours by Travelers Aid Chicago volunteers. For lost property at the rental cars, the airport’s lost and found list gives (773) 462-9515.

Riding the train to the building

The Airport Transit System runs 24 hours a day, with trains every 3 to 5 minutes at peak. It stops at Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 and at the Multi-Modal Facility. The trains are wheelchair accessible.

Smarte Carte baggage carts are at baggage claim in every terminal and inside the Multi-Modal Facility.

Off-airport companies run their own shuttles

ACE Rent A Car and Routes Car Rental are based off the airport. ACE is on (866) 551-8267 and Routes is on (847) 671-4000. Each one picks you up and drops you off at bus bay 1 in the Multi-Modal Facility.

Their shuttles may not be accessible, so ask the company before you book if you need an accessible vehicle.

Driving to the building to return the car

The building sits at Zemke Boulevard and Mannheim Road. You’ll reach it from either one, or along Bessie Coleman Drive by way of Coffey Road. For the drive to the airport itself, the driving directions page covers the approach roads.
