Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport

The Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport is the only hotel inside the airport boundary. It stands across from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and underground walkways join it to all three, so you arrive on foot without stepping outside. The airport publishes no walking time and its hotel page gives no room rates.

Getting from each terminal to the lobby

You’re at How to reach the Hilton
Terminal 1, 2 or 3 Take the underground walkway
Terminal 5 Ride the Airport Transit System to Terminal 1, 2 or 3, then use the same walkway
The CTA Blue Line An indoor walkway joins the hotel to the platform

The Airport Transit System runs 24 hours a day, every 3 to 5 minutes at peak times. The hotel, its restaurants and its shops are all before security. If you’ve already cleared a checkpoint, you’ll clear one again before the flight.

Eating and drinking in the hotel

Place Level Daily hours What the airport says
Gaslight Club Lobby 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aged steaks, prime rib, fresh seafood and cocktails
Andiamo Lobby 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Contemporary dining elegance with fresh specialties from around the world”
Caffe Mercato Lobby 6 a.m. to midnight Grab and go, with Starbucks coffee, pastries, salads and sandwiches

Caffe Mercato is open from 6 a.m. to midnight, which makes it the one to try for an early flight or a late arrival.

The airport’s hotel page lists Sports Edition Bar with the Hilton’s restaurants and names no level for it. It says the bar shows up to 12 games at once on 50-inch screens. The airport’s directory puts the bar at Terminal 2, Arrivals / Baggage Claim, from 2 p.m. to midnight, so look there first.

Shops, business center and barber

The hotel has two gift shops, one on the Lobby Level and one on the Arcade Level, selling apparel, souvenirs, snacks, electronics and bags. The directory lists no hours for either.

The full-service business center is on the lower arcade level and handles fax, copying, packaging and shipping. The hotel page also lists an on-site UPS Store, with no level given. The airport says the Barber Shop at O’Hare Airport connects to the hotel, a few steps from the Blue Line station. It offers haircuts, trims and hot shaves. The airport’s pages list no hours for it.

What the airport says about the rooms

The airport’s page says the rooms have sound-resistant windows and that FAA regulations prohibit planes from flying directly overhead. It also describes allergy-friendly rooms with hardwood floors, all-cotton linens and an air purifying system. Wi-Fi in the guest rooms carries a usage fee, while the lobby offers it free.

If the Hilton is full, our hotels page lists the other hotels near the airport. The airport’s page also gives no check-in times, so use the Hilton’s own page for those and for rates.
