Which airlines use Terminal 2 at O'Hare?
Five airlines are listed at O'Hare Terminal 2, and United has a second lobby there. Who checks in where, plus lounges and customs.

Five airlines are listed at Terminal 2: Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, Denver Air Connection and Southern Airways Express. United isn’t on that list. The airport’s airline directory puts United at Terminal 1 for departures and Terminal 5 for international arrivals, but its map also shows a United lobby in Terminal 2.
Where each airline checks in
| Airline | Check-in |
|---|---|
| Air Canada | Terminal 2, Departures and Check-In level, with a separate customer service desk |
| Alaska Airlines | Terminal 2, Departures and Check-In level |
| JetBlue | Terminal 2, Departures and Check-In level |
| Denver Air Connection | Terminal 2, Departures and Check-In level |
| Southern Airways Express | Terminal 2, as the airport’s airline directory lists it |
| United Airlines | A lobby in Terminal 2 on the airport’s map, as well as its Terminal 1 lobby |
The airport lists a terminal for each airline, not for each flight. Its flight search also says its terminal and gate data come from a third-party service, so confirm yours with your airline. United’s other lobby is in Terminal 1, and the United connecting guide covers the move between the two terminals.
One checkpoint serves every airline here
Terminal 2 has a single checkpoint, Checkpoint 5, and it leads to both Concourse E and Concourse F. It opens at 3:15 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m., and our security page lists every checkpoint and its published hours. The Terminal 2 guide covers the Family Lounge and the chapel.
Once you’re past security, Terminals 1 and 2 join, and so do Terminals 2 and 3. Our walking guide covers the walk between the terminals after security.
Lounges: United Clubs at E7 and F9
United has a club in each concourse, the United Club near Gate E7 and the United Club near Gate F9. Both are past security and admit United Club members and eligible United customers.
Air Canada customers are named for one lounge, the Wingtips Lounge near Gate M19 in Terminal 5. The airport doesn’t tie Air Canada flights to Terminal 5 gates, and Terminal 5 has no walking route to Terminal 2. Alaska’s Atmos Titanium, Platinum and Gold members have an entry route into the Flagship Lounge in Terminal 3 on qualifying Flagship international flights. The airport’s lounge page names neither JetBlue nor Denver Air Connection.
Baggage claim and customs
The airport’s map puts airline baggage service offices for Air Canada and Alaska Airlines on the Terminal 2 Arrivals and Baggage Claim level. It puts a Jet Blue Baggage Service office on the Terminal 3 lower level instead, though JetBlue checks in at Terminal 2. It lists no office for Denver Air Connection. Ask your airline where to go for those two.
Flights from abroad clear U.S. customs in Terminal 5, according to the airport’s International Traveler page. The same page names Canada among the places where passengers clear customs before they leave, then says they may go straight to the domestic baggage claim in Terminal 5, or may arrive in Terminals 1, 2 or 3. The page doesn’t say which airlines’ flights arrive where, so ask Air Canada whether your departure airport is one of those. Our Terminal 5 arrivals guide walks through customs and rechecking bags.
