Showers, spa and yoga at O'Hare: what the airport lists
O'Hare lists no general-use shower rooms. It lists a Yoga Room (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and Terminal Getaway Spas at Gates B12 and H1 (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

O’Hare lists no shower room that any passenger can use. It does list a Yoga Room in Terminal 3 and a Terminal Getaway Spa in Terminals 1 and 3. The only shower room it describes is a private accessible room in Terminal 2, though the terminal map also lists “showers” as a keyword on the United Polaris Lounge in Terminal 1.
The Yoga Room, both spas and the Companion Plus Restroom are past security. The restroom sits across from the Family Lounge.

The Yoga Room asks for shoes off and a quiet phone
The room is 15 by 16 feet with a bamboo floor. It has floor-to-ceiling mirrors on one wall, exercise mats and a spot for your bag and coat. Frosted windows let in daylight and keep the room private from the public space outside.
A wall monitor inside shows yoga techniques and nature imagery. A second monitor outside the door shows arrivals and departures for the domestic terminals.
The airport asks you to follow five house rules:
- Take your shoes off at the door.
- Throw away food and drink before you go in.
- Silence your phone and any other device.
- Keep the doorway clear.
- Wipe your mat with the complimentary disinfecting wipes when you finish.
For changing clothes, the airport points to a public restroom nearby on the Mezzanine. The airport lists no fee, time limit or capacity for the room.
What the Terminal Getaway Spas sell, and what the airport doesn’t post
The airport’s map describes both spas as offering chair massage, hand, leg and foot massage, and full body Swedish and deep tissue massage. The Gate B12 spa also lists standard and deluxe manicures and pedicures, polish changes and soak off. The Gate H1 spa lists nail services.
The map gives no price, menu or booking number for either spa. On a short layover, ask at the counter what a treatment costs and how long it takes before you plan around it.
Terminal 3 is the only terminal with both a spa and the Yoga Room. A Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 traveler can walk over, because Terminals 1, 2 and 3 connect on the secure side.
Showers: none for general use, and three places with strings attached
- Companion Plus Restroom. This Terminal 2 room is a private accessible room for travelers who need help from a companion. It has two showers, one roll-in and one with a transfer seat. It also has a powered ceiling lift to an adult-size changing table and two emergency pull cords.
- Lounges. The airport’s lounge page doesn’t say whether any lounge has showers. It does say most clubs sell day passes to travelers without a membership, so ask the front desk what a pass includes before you pay. The lounges page shows who gets into each lounge, and the lounge access guide covers which clubs sell passes and what they cost.
- The United Polaris Lounge in Terminal 1 admits international first and business class customers only. The airport’s lounge page says nothing about showers there, and the map lists “showers” only as a keyword on its entry, with no description of a shower room.
- The Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport. The airport lists the Hilton as the place for passengers who want rest between flights, and underground walkways join it to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The airport’s page says nothing about day rooms or showers for people who aren’t staying, so call the hotel before you walk over. The hotels page lists it with the other hotels near the airport.
Reaching them from your terminal
In Terminal 3, Concourse H clears security at Checkpoint 6, 7, 7A or 8. The Gate B12 spa is in Terminal 1, where Concourse B clears security at Checkpoint 1, 2 or 3. The Terminal 1 page and Terminal 3 page list their gates.
Terminal 2 has no spa or yoga room, only the Companion Plus Restroom with its showers.
Terminal 5 has no yoga room or spa on the airport’s lists. It also has no secure-side walkway to the other terminals. From there you’d take the Airport Transit System or, with a same-day boarding pass, the Terminal Transfer Bus from Gate M13, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
