Which O'Hare parking is closest to your terminal?
Premier is under 300 feet from Terminals 1 and 3 at $63 a day. Terminal 2 uses the Main Garage, Terminal 5 its own garage. Economy lots need a train.

Premier Parking is under 300 feet from Terminals 1 and 3, the only distance the airport gives for any lot. Terminal 2 uses the Main Garage next to the domestic terminals, and Terminal 5 has its own garage. The economy lots cost less and need a train.
Where to park for each terminal
| Your terminal | Park at | What the airport says about distance | A full day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Terminals 1 and 3 | Premier Parking | Less than 300 feet | $63 |
| Terminal 2 | Main Garage daily levels, or Lots B and C | Adjacent to the domestic terminals, with no distance given | $43 for 8 to 24 hours |
| Terminal 5 | Terminal 5 garage or Lot D | An enclosed pedestrian bridge from the garage, and Lot D adjacent | $43 for 8 to 24 hours |
| Any terminal, by train | Economy Lot F | The Airport Transit System from the Multi-Modal Facility | $30 for 4 to 24 hours |
| Any terminal, by shuttle and train | Economy Lots G and H | A shuttle bus to the Multi-Modal Facility, then the train | $16 for 1 to 24 hours |
Premier Parking is covered and takes no bookings
The airport’s Premier page calls Terminal 1 the main departure terminal for United Airlines and Terminal 3 the main one for American Airlines. Follow the signs for Hourly Parking at the Main Garage, then the signs to Premier Parking. The spaces are covered and first come, first served, and the $63 includes all taxes and fees.
Reserved parking can hold a space for you. The airport says the space is guaranteed even when the garage is full, for $10 per space per day on top of the parking charge, taxes and fees. The airport lists those spaces on Level 2 of the Terminal 5 garage, Level 4 of the Main Garage and Level 4 of Economy Lot F. Our reserved parking page says to book online before you leave home.
The Main Garage and Lots B and C
The airport puts the Main Garage next to the domestic terminals, which are Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Lots B and C are outdoor lots beside it. The airport publishes no walking time or distance from the garage or either lot to any terminal.
Level 1 is the hourly level, and the airport says it’s for stays under three hours. Its rate for 8 to 24 hours is $79, so a longer trip belongs on Levels 2 to 6. Our Main Garage hourly page lists the hourly rates for stays under three hours. For a tall vehicle, the garage clears 6 feet 6 inches, Lot B clears 9 feet and Lot C clears 8 feet 5 inches.
Terminal 5 has its own garage
The six-story Terminal 5 garage joins the terminal by an enclosed pedestrian bridge. Its parking-assist technology shows real-time availability, and it clears 8 feet 6 inches. Surface Lot D sits alongside.
The economy lots need a train
Economy Lot F is on floors 4 and 5 of the Multi-Modal Facility, and the airport says to board the Airport Transit System there for free transportation to every terminal. At Lots G and H, a shuttle bus’s final stop is the Multi-Modal Facility, where you board the same train. The airport’s economy page says the train and the lot shuttles arrive every 5 to 10 minutes. Its Airport Transit System page says trains come every 3 to 5 minutes at peak hours. The airport’s one ride time is 10 minutes, from Terminal 1 at one end of the line to the Multi-Modal Facility at the other.
The airport doesn’t recommend the Main Garage for extended overnight stays, because its daily rates are higher than the economy lots. Our cheapest parking guide prices a week in each one.
