Admirals Clubs and the Flagship Lounge at O'Hare
Admirals Clubs at Gates G8, L2A and H6/K6, the Flagship at H6/K6, all in Terminal 3. Who gets in and American's $150 Flagship pass.

Every Admirals Club and the Flagship Lounge at O’Hare is in Terminal 3, past security. They sit in different concourses, so use the one nearest your gate.
| Lounge | Gate | Concourse | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admirals Club | G8 | G | Daily 6:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. |
| Admirals Club | H6/K6, beside the Flagship Lounge | H | Daily 4:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. |
| Flagship Lounge | H6/K6 | Where H and K meet | Daily 4:15 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. on American’s page |
| Admirals Club | L2A | L | Daily 5 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. |
The Admirals Club hours come from the airport’s terminal map, which shows the Flagship Lounge open until 10:45 p.m. The Terminal 3 page lists each concourse’s gates and the checkpoints that serve them.
Three Admirals Clubs, one beside the Flagship Lounge
The airport’s lounge page lists the Admirals Club at Gates G8, L2A and H6/K6, and the Flagship Lounge at H6/K6. The Admirals Club at H6/K6 sits beside the Flagship Lounge. The airport lists (800) 237-7971 beside the Admirals Clubs.
Who gets into the Admirals Clubs
The airport’s lounge page heads the Admirals Club row “American/JAL/Iberia”. It says travelers without a membership may buy day passes for most of the clubs, and it doesn’t say which clubs, what a pass costs or how to buy one. American’s Admirals Club page adds that one-day pass access may be limited or unavailable when a lounge is full.
Admirals Club members and eligible American Airlines customers get in. One credit card gets you in: the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard comes with Admirals Club membership, and American’s Admirals Club page calls it the only card that does. Japan Airlines and Iberia customers whose fare or status includes lounge access get in too. The airport doesn’t say which fares or status levels count, so ask the airline. Japan Airlines and Iberia both check in at Terminal 3, the same terminal as the clubs.
The airport’s lounge page and American’s Admirals Club page give no opening hours for the O’Hare clubs. American says showers and a business center are at select locations, and its page doesn’t name O’Hare’s clubs among them.
Who gets into the Flagship Lounge
The airport’s lounge page gives the Flagship Lounge no eligibility line. American’s Flagship page sets out the rules, and it lists the Chicago lounge in Terminal 3, Concourse H/K.
| If you hold | You get in | Guests |
|---|---|---|
| First or Business on a qualifying same-day flight on American, a oneworld airline or Aer Lingus | Yes | One in international First, none for other qualifying customers |
| AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro or Platinum, or Atmos Titanium, Platinum or Gold | Yes, on a qualifying same-day international flight you depart on, arrive on or connect from | One |
| ConciergeKey | Yes, on any same-day flight on American, a oneworld airline or Aer Lingus | Immediate family, or up to two guests |
| Other oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status | Yes, on any same-day flight on American or a oneworld airline, in any cabin | One |
| A Single Visit Pass, $150 or 15,000 AAdvantage miles per person | Yes, if you’re 21 or older and the lounge has room | None |
The first two rows cover flights with seats ticketed as Flagship. American’s international list includes Asia and Europe, and for flights out of Chicago its only domestic routes are Honolulu (HNL) and Maui (OGG). American doesn’t name Japan Airlines or Iberia on its Flagship page, so a customer of either asks that airline whether the ticket counts.
Every row needs a flight the same day, or one before 6 a.m. the next day, and American says industry non-revenue tickets don’t qualify. A pass buyer shows a boarding pass for a same-day flight on American, or on any oneworld airline, and may be asked for photo ID. The pass is valid once, in the lounge where you bought it.
Getting to Terminal 3 from another terminal
Terminals 1, 2 and 3 join on the secure side, so a walk between them needs no second screening. Terminal 5 is the exception. The Terminal Transfer Bus stops at Gates G17 and K20 in Terminal 3, and the page for it lists the hours. The airport’s rule is a boarding pass for a same-day flight from the terminal you’re riding to, so a passenger whose next flight leaves from Terminal 5 can’t ride it to Terminal 3 for a lounge visit.
Without the bus, you leave security, ride the Airport Transit System and clear a TSA checkpoint in Terminal 3. The American connecting guide lists when each of those checkpoints closes.
