Lower-level curb, Terminal 2

Hotel shuttles at O’Hare collect at the Terminal 2 arrivals curb, and some also stop at Terminal 5, so ask your hotel before you fly. Three hotels list a shuttle that runs 24 hours: Loews Chicago O’Hare and Staybridge Suites in Rosemont, and Sonesta Simply Suites in Schiller Park. The Hilton on the airport grounds needs no shuttle.

## Where to find the shuttle

The airport moved every [hotel shuttle](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/hotel-shuttles/) and off-airport parking pickup from the old Bus Shuttle Center to the arrivals curb at [Terminal 2](https://ordairportguide.com/terminals/terminal-2/).

If you land at Terminal 1, 3 or 5, the [Airport Transit System](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/airport-transit-system/) stops at Terminal 2 and runs 24 hours a day. Virtual Concierge Kiosks on the arrivals level by baggage claim will call a hotel shuttle for you at no charge.

## Shuttles that run all night

| Hotel | Town | By road from Terminal 5 | Shuttle | Pickup at Terminal 2 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel | Rosemont | 1.9 miles, about 6 minutes | Every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, no booking | Lower level, middle lane near door 2C |
| Staybridge Suites Chicago O’Hare Airport | Rosemont | 2.0 miles, about 7 minutes | 24 hours a day, leaving the hotel on the hour and half hour. Book ahead with the hotel | Lower level, door 2E |
| Sonesta Simply Suites Chicago O’Hare Airport | Schiller Park | 2.7 miles, about 7 minutes | 24 hours a day on request, price not listed, so call the hotel once you have your luggage | Arrivals curb |

Sonesta Simply Suites has kitchen-equipped suites on North Mannheim Road.

## Shuttles that stop for the night

| Hotel | Town | By road from Terminal 5 | Shuttle |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare | Rosemont | 1.9 miles, about 7 minutes | 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, to 10 p.m. on weekends |
| Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago O’Hare Airport | Elk Grove Village | Listed only as 5 miles | Early morning until midnight, booked by phoning the hotel |

Nothing runs from Super 8 in the small hours, so an overnight arrival should budget for a taxi.

## More hotels with a free shuttle

Seven more hotels list a free shuttle. If you’re landing late, phone before you fly. Our [hotels page](https://ordairportguide.com/hotels/) lists the other places to stay near the airport.

| Hotel | Town | By road from Terminal 5 | Worth knowing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare | Rosemont | 1.8 miles, about 6 minutes | IHG’s page says a short walk from the CTA Blue Line and gives no distance |
| DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport - Rosemont | Rosemont | 1.9 miles, about 6 minutes | Beside the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center |
| Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago O’Hare Rosemont | Rosemont | 1.8 miles, about 6 minutes | Linked to the convention center by a sky bridge |
| Hampton Inn & Suites Rosemont Chicago O’Hare | Rosemont | 2.8 miles, about 8 minutes | On West Higgins Road |
| La Quinta by Wyndham Chicago O’Hare Airport | Rosemont | 2.2 miles, about 7 minutes | Off Interstate 90 on Mannheim Road, with a CTA Blue Line station nearby |
| Sonesta Chicago O’Hare Airport Rosemont | Rosemont | Listed only as less than 2 miles | Collect at the Terminal 2 arrivals curb |
| Wyndham Chicago O’Hare | Des Plaines | 2.8 miles, about 8 minutes | Follow the baggage claim signs at Terminal 2 and step outside to the arrivals curb |

## When you’d rather not wait

Ten of the twelve shuttle hotels sit 1.8 to 2.8 miles from Terminal 5 by road, six to eight minutes of driving. Super 8 and Sonesta Chicago O’Hare Airport Rosemont give their distances without saying by road or from which terminal. A 2-mile cab ride to a suburb on the city’s straight-meter list, which includes Rosemont and Des Plaines, works out near $13 on the published meter rates. That’s the $3.25 flag, $0.31 for each further ninth of a mile and the $4 airport departure tax. Surcharges, waiting time and the 50-cent card fee come on top, and our [taxi page](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/taxi/) lists them.

The city charges trips from the airport to most other suburbs at the meter plus one half. The airport’s accessibility page prints the straight-meter list, which includes Elk Grove Village, so a cab to Super 8 runs at the plain meter. Schiller Park isn’t on the list, so ask what the fare will be before you ride to Sonesta Simply Suites. Our [taxi page](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/taxi/) names some of the list’s suburbs, including Rosemont and Des Plaines.

The [CTA Blue Line](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/cta-blue-line/) runs 24 hours and costs $5 when you board at O’Hare. Crowne Plaza and La Quinta both sit near a Blue Line station, so the train is the cheaper fallback there if the shuttle isn’t coming.

The avid hotel on East Touhy Avenue and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Mannheim Road, both in Des Plaines, list no shuttle at all. The avid hotel is 2.7 miles from Terminal 5 by road, about 7 minutes, and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites is 2.1 miles, about 7 minutes. Plan on a taxi, rideshare or your own car for both.

## The hotel you can walk to

The Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport is the only hotel inside the airport boundary. An underground walkway joins it to Terminals 1, 2 and 3, so you don’t step outside. From Terminal 5, ride the Airport Transit System to the terminal core and pick up the same walkway. It carries on to the Blue Line platform.
