# Delayed or damaged bag at O'Hare: the baggage service offices

O'Hare's map lists baggage offices for United, Air Canada, Alaska, American and Delta on the arrivals levels. For any other airline, ask your carrier.

Baggage claim, Terminal 1

If your bag didn’t arrive or came off the belt damaged, go to your airline’s baggage desk on the arrivals level. Five airlines have one, and the table below names them by terminal. The airport’s map shows a few other baggage offices, covered further down, but if yours isn’t in the table, ask your airline.

## Which airline has a desk, and where

Every office below sits on the Arrivals and [Baggage Claim](https://ordairportguide.com/amenities/baggage-claim/) level.

| Terminal | Airline | Office or desk |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Terminal 1 | United | Baggage service office |
| Terminal 2 | Air Canada and Alaska Airlines | Airline baggage service offices |
| Terminal 3 | American | Baggage assistance desk |
| Terminal 5 | Delta Air Lines | Baggage service office |

The airport’s airline directory lists United at Terminal 1 for departures and Terminal 5 for international arrivals, and United also has a Terminal 2 lobby. The airport’s map lists its baggage office only in Terminal 1, so a United passenger who lands outside Terminal 1 should ask United which office to use. Terminal 5’s Arrivals and Baggage Claim level also has airline baggage re-check desks, including a United one. They are for connections: the airport says travelers connecting on United or American without bags checked through can recheck with an airline employee right after CBP.

## When your airline isn’t in the table

For any other airline on the [airlines pages](https://ordairportguide.com/airlines/), JetBlue and Frontier included, ask the airline. The airport’s map shows some other baggage offices. It puts a Jet Blue Baggage Service on Terminal 3’s lower level, though JetBlue checks in at Terminal 2. It also lists a Virgin America Baggage Office and an unnamed Baggage Service Counter on Terminal 3’s lower level, an NW Baggage Office on Terminal 2’s lower level and an American Baggage Office on Terminal 5’s lower level.

The airport’s pages give no phone numbers, hours or reporting deadline for these offices. Each carrier’s own website, linked from the airport’s airlines page, has the latest information, so start there.

## Small repairs and other help

A self-service repair station stands near the information desks at baggage claim in all four terminals. It has an air compressor, a tool kit and a padded bench for quick fixes to luggage. Travelers Aid volunteers staff seven of the information desks, and the [information desks page](https://ordairportguide.com/amenities/information-desks/) lists every desk. The lower-level desks in Terminals 1, 2 and 3, near Doors 1C, 2C and 3C, are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. For Terminal 5 the Travelers Aid page gives desk hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends, while the airport’s accessibility page lists the Gate M15 desk as open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.

If what’s missing is something you left at O’Hare rather than a bag that didn’t arrive, the [lost and found guide](https://ordairportguide.com/guides/lost-something-at-ohare-who-call/) lists who to call by location.
