Air France, KLM, ITA Airways and Icelandair all check in on the Departures and Check-In level of [Terminal 5](https://ordairportguide.com/terminals/terminal-5/), the same terminal where flights from abroad clear U.S. customs. The [Air France Lounge](https://ordairportguide.com/lounges/air-france-lounge/) near Gate M17 names Air France and KLM. Three other Concourse M lounges take passengers with the right ticket or status, and one of them also takes a Priority Pass.

## Which lounge names each airline

| Airline | Lounge that names it |
| --- | --- |
| Air France | Air France Lounge |
| KLM | Air France Lounge, for eligible KLM travelers |
| ITA Airways | None names it |
| Icelandair | None names it |

The airport’s directory gives a check-in terminal for each airline but no flights, so your airline has the last word. Our [guide to every airline at O’Hare](https://ordairportguide.com/guides/every-airline-at-ohare-z/) lists the rest of Terminal 5.

## The Air France Lounge: Concourse M, near Gate M17

The lounge is past security on Concourse M, beyond the duty free shops, and is open daily 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The airport lists (847) 447-3198 as the lounge’s phone number. The airport’s lounge page names four groups:

- Air France Business customers
- Flying Blue Elite Plus members
- Eligible KLM travelers
- SkyTeam Elite Plus members traveling on a SkyTeam airline

Priority Pass members also get in, though not between noon and 5 p.m.

The airport’s lounge page doesn’t say which airlines count as SkyTeam airlines, so ask ITA Airways or Icelandair before you count on that line. The page also says travelers without a membership “may also purchase day passes for most of the clubs.” It names no club and no price, and the Air France Lounge publishes no day pass, so ask the lounge before you count on one. Our [Terminal 5 lounges guide](https://ordairportguide.com/guides/lounges-terminal-5-at-ohare-delta-air-france-lot/) compares it with the Delta and LOT lounges.

## The other Concourse M lounges and who gets in

The LOT Business Lounge, the Delta Sky Club and the Wingtips Lounge are all on Concourse M, past security. None lists ITA Airways or Icelandair by name. The LOT Business Lounge near Gate M18 takes LOT Polish Airlines and Turkish Airlines business class customers, plus Star Alliance business class customers and eligible frequent flyer members.

The [Delta Sky Club](https://ordairportguide.com/lounges/delta-sky-club/) sits between Gates M11 and M14 and is open Sunday to Friday 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 4:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can enter within 3 hours of your scheduled departure. On a SkyTeam airline other than Delta, a premium cabin ticket means a same-day international First or Business class ticket, confirmed in that cabin on every segment. SkyTeam Elite Plus members get in from any cabin on a same-day international flight operated by a SkyTeam airline, and can bring one guest. The club no longer sells Single Visit Passes, though it still accepts one you already hold until the expiration date printed on it.

The [Wingtips Lounge](https://ordairportguide.com/lounges/wingtips-lounge/) is near Gate M19, open daily 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its airline list names neither ITA Airways nor Icelandair, but it takes SkyTeam Elite Plus members, and Priority Pass members up to 3 hours before departure.

Priority Pass lists the Swissport Lounge near Gate M13 as permanently closed. Priority Pass members can use the Wingtips Lounge, or the Air France Lounge outside noon to 5 p.m.

## Flights from abroad clear customs in Terminal 5

The airport’s International Traveler page walks flights from abroad through sterile corridors to the customs area in Terminal 5. It doesn’t say which airlines’ flights arrive there. The airport says it’s rare for customs to take more than two hours.

If your bags are checked through to your final destination, drop them with an airline attendant at the recheck counters directly outside the customs area. If you’re connecting on United or American and aren’t checked through, you can recheck bags with an airline employee right after the customs area. On any other airline, bags that aren’t checked through leave Terminal 5 with you, and you recheck them with that airline before a domestic flight. If a bag goes missing, the airport’s map lists no baggage service office for these four airlines, so ask your airline. Our [Terminal 5 arrivals guide](https://ordairportguide.com/guides/arriving-at-ohare-terminal-5-from-abroad-customs-baggage/) covers customs and baggage, and our [baggage claim page](https://ordairportguide.com/amenities/baggage-claim/) shows the offices that are listed.

## Onward to the other terminals

Terminal 5 has no walking route to Terminals 1, 2 or 3 past security, so you ride. The [Airport Transit System](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/airport-transit-system/) is free and runs 24 hours a day. From 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the [Terminal Transfer Bus](https://ordairportguide.com/transport/terminal-transfer-bus/) also carries connecting passengers who hold a boarding pass for a same-day flight from the terminal they’re heading to. Our [terminal train guide](https://ordairportguide.com/guides/ohare-terminal-train-terminal-5-terminals-1-2-3/) covers the train between Terminal 5 and Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
